Chapter 20
"I think you already had enough drinking this night" Clover said and I scoffed inwardly. Is he trying to insinuate that I drank too much this night.
He carried me by the waist and placed me gentle into the car and I didn't resist because I don't know why he's being adamant in kissing me publicly.
I thought he asked me to be his girlfriend or is he trying to make things secret about us.
He had a neutral expression as he got into the driver's seat and then ignited the engine before reversing and driving out.
I don't even know why he was acting so grumpy today. Lest I forgot I was still so angry with him so why am I even following him in the first place.
I groaned and held my forehead. The effect of the alcohol was taking effect and if I don't have enough rest I might have a migraine the next morning.
Clover pulled over at a silent bridge and then he pulled over and came down from the car.
I guess I didn't need him to come open the door for me like some fake gentleman. F**k him.
I came down by myself and I stared around. Okay what are we doing here. We were supposed to be bubbling at a party and he brought me here, so silent that not even a pin drop could be heard.
"What are we doing here?" I said eyeing around the place.
"You shouldn't freak out okay. I just wanted us to take a walk and cool our mind" Clover said casually.
Is he kidding me right now? To have a walk. He took me out of that interesting party. My chance to make my school year by kissing Clover publicly. How I could made Belinda so annoyed. Then I would have gotten myself drunk and gone home angrily.
But everything got interrupted when he took me out of there and now we're here...Just to have a walk.
"You're seriously joking" I hissed and turned back on him before walking out of there. The heels I wore was giving me problems and I pulled it off before walking barefooted home.
<THE NEXT DAY>
"Wakey Wakey Sleepy head" Mum used a pillow to hit my head and I groaned.
"Today is Saturday Mum. I have all day to rest" I said still sleepy and I heard Mum chuckle.
"It doesn't matter Violet. We're going on a Mother daughter's day today so get up let's get ready" Mum said.
Why must she say this at the wrong time. "Okay Mum I would be down in a jiffy" I said and I think she left cause I didn't hear her voice anymore.
I got up from the bed and I quickly went to take some pills that would relive me of the headache.
I went next to the bathroom and brushed my teeth and also had my bath. After wearing my clothes, I went downstairs straight to the kitchen.
I saw Mum making sandwiches. I took one but she tapped my hands and I ended up dropping it back.
"I just wanted to have a taste" I whined and she laughed.
"Hmm. You wanna taste something you don't know how to cook" She made fun of me.
"I can make sandwiches. That's like the simplest thing to do" I defended myself and I could feel that she definitely rolled her eyes.
"Why don't I eat the one I have made and then you can make another one for yourself since you said it's simple" Mum said and I knew she was trying to make me admit it that I can't even do anything.
"You win this time Mum. I'm so hungry" I said and this time she let me take some sandwiches.
***Fast.... Forward***
We were at the supermarket and we were picking things that we needed. I guess the mother daughter day was not that bad. We had our hair done at the salon. We went to the spa next. Now we are at the supermarket. After that we might go have lunch at the restaurant nearby.
I was about to pick a chocolate drink but it wasn't up to my reach then someone helped me get it.
I turned to thank the person and it turned out to be Ryan. There's no one else who could have told him except Mum.
"What are you doing here?" I folded my hands under my chest.
"I just wanted to talk and I am ready to explain things to you. I really miss my best friend" The last part really touched me.
Anyways it wasn't me who caused the rift between us.
"So what do you want us to talk about" I said.
"I know this might sound weird to you but the reason why I started staying away from you was because of my feelings" Ryan said and I gasped.
Was he finally getting a girlfriend? Finally my bestie is growing up. Since we were young Ryan had never had any interest in any girl.
"So who's the lucky girl" I grinned and he shook his head quickly.
"It's not it Violet. I'm talking about you. The feelings and everything. I don't know why lately I am seeing you more than a best friend. I tried to ignore the feelings but it didn't go. Everytime you laugh or smile I always feel my heart beating so fast and I knew it's inappropriate that's why I stayed away from you but I don't think it's working cause it's making things more worse" Ryan said and as he talked I kept blinking.
Is my best friend trying to say he's having feelings for me. I think there is a mistake somewhere. I never expected this.
"Are....you... saying.." I couldn't talk anymore.
"I'm trying to say that I think I am falling in love with you Violet"
